DUN FACTOR CHARACTERISTICS |
|
DUN FACTOR CHARACTERISTICS of the Spanish Dun Mustangs, are shades of
beige to a gray-blue known as grullo or grulla, dark bars or striping on
their legs, a dark dorsal stripe. Bi-colored manes/tails, often tri-colored,
a lean body, narrow chest, sloping croup and low-set tail.
The "wild type Dun", are the ones with the most
Spanish markers in them and those happen to have the Dun gene. Great Basin

| We
searched for a horse that had qualities like those listed below. We found the
Sulphur Springs Horses. Nature did selective breeding for hundreds of years.
Horses that have been living for generations in high mountains, producing a
horse with exact qualities that interested us. We have
found other Dun Factor horses in the Western HMAs. |
